Moving fans to your own page
How to bring existing fans from a big platform to your VestaCreate page without breaking rules, losing trust, or losing the income you already have.

Do not burn the bridge
If you already earn on a major platform, that income is real and the fans there chose you. Moving fans is a gradual addition, not a cutover. Creators who announce "I'm leaving, follow me here" and delete their old page usually lose most of their audience in the move. People are slow to sign up somewhere new unless there is a reason.
Keep the existing page running. Add your VestaCreate page alongside it and give fans reasons to visit over months.
Know the rules of where you are
Most platforms restrict linking to competitors inside their own site. Some ban it outright in posts and messages, some allow it in a bio, and rules change and enforcement is uneven. Read the current terms of each platform you use before you post a link, and assume automated filters are watching for known domain names.
Places you control:
- Your link-in-bio page
- Your social media profiles on Bluesky, X, Reddit and wherever else you post
- Your mailing list, if you have one
- Your watermark, which can carry a short handle or URL
Nothing stops you from telling fans on your socials where else you can be found. That is where the move happens.
Give fans a reason
"I have another page" is not a reason. Pick one or two of these and make it concrete:
- Content they cannot get elsewhere: a weekly live stream, a channel you run with other creators, a series that only posts there
- Better value: a lower subscription price, since you are not paying 20 percent out of it
- Direct access: paid messaging with a clear price, which many fans prefer to the mass-DM feel of bigger platforms
- The clip store on VestaVids, where they can buy specific items without subscribing
Fans move for something, not for your convenience.
Your VestaCreate share link, your page URL with ?ref=yourusername, attributes sign-ups to you. Use it everywhere you post, so the people you bring are credited to you.
Pace it
A realistic arc:
- Month one: set up the page properly, post enough that it does not look empty, add the link to your bio and socials.
- Months two and three: mention it naturally in your regular posting, offer something exclusive, go live there.
- Ongoing: treat it as a first-class destination. New fans from socials go to VestaCreate first; existing fans discover it over time.
If the old platform ever suspends you, which happens without warning more often than anyone admits, you will already have a home with fans who know where to find it. That alone is worth the effort.
